The Utah HBA has launched an ongoing survey to gather feedback from members like you after every plan check, inspection, or code-related interaction. Whether your experience was positive, frustrating, or somewhere in between, your input helps us build a clearer picture of how code enforcement is being applied across Utah.
Why This Matters
By collecting feedback regularly, we can:
- Identify trends in how code is interpreted and enforced
- Highlight areas of excellence and address inconsistencies
- Ensure accountability and professionalism among officials
- Protect members who feel vulnerable when speaking up
Each time you interact with a city or county official, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. It asks about:
- Where the interaction occurred
- Who you interacted with
- Whether code interpretation was clear and fair
- If inspections and plan checks were completed on time
- The professionalism and knowledge of the official
- Any concerns about retaliation
- Additional comments or context
Your responses will be kept confidential and used to:
- Advocate for consistent, fair, and timely enforcement practices
- Support training and improvement efforts across jurisdictions
- Elevate the voices of professionals who work with these systems every day
Take the Survey After Every Interaction
This isn’t a one-time request. We encourage you to fill out the survey each time you have an interaction with a local official. The more data we collect, the stronger our voice becomes in advocating for positive change.
To fill out the survey, go to slhba.com, select “Members”, then select “Review Your Inspection Experience” from the drop-down menu. You will automatically be taken to the survey. Or use the button below.
