Wasatch Advocates for Livable Communities (WALC) is a nonprofit advancing housing opportunity across the Wasatch Region. We work with local governments, developers, and communities to support policies and projects that make it easier to build the homes Utah needs. Our priorities include: -Advocating for land-use and zoning policies that expand housing choice, from starter homes to ADUs to mixed-income developments -Reviewing and publicly supporting high-quality, impactful housing projects across the region -Educating members, officials, and the public on the policies shaping Utah's housing future -Building coalitions among residents, developers, and local leaders around thoughtful growth -Equipping community members to engage in the public process, from testifying to writing op-eds -Hosting community events, homes tours, and trainings that connect members with the people and projects shaping our region -Serving as a trusted, nonpartisan resource on housing data and policy for media, officials, and the public We believe complete communities depend on a full range of housing choices — and we're building the coalition to get there.
